His head was injured, and firefighters could only bring him up from the depths with a special stretcher. He was taken to hospital in a serious condition. RTL Híradó reports that he was partying with friends before the accident, and may have consumed alcohol and drugs.
Together, paramedics and firefighters secured the man to the stretcher who had fallen between the rocks. The firefighters then set off uphill with him. They received a call just after one o’clock in the morning.
Firefighters arrived quickly
“A man fell from the quay onto the rocks in the fifth district. To rescue him, firefighters from the capital’s downtown, the fifth district, were mobilized. They arrived within minutes and immediately started rescuing the man. They descended to him, put him on a special stretcher, brought him to street level, where the ambulance was already waiting for him,” said Péter Kolozsi, Deputy Spokesperson of the Metropolitan Disaster Management Directorate (Fővárosi Katasztrófavédelmi Igazgatóság).
